This house is on Pratt Street in Halifax, Massachusetts. It was the only house on the street at the time and belonged to Otis Pratt. The street was named after the Pratt family.

This building was once one of the 5 "movable" schoolhouses in Halifax. It was donated to the town to be used as a library and at the time the picture was taken is was also the town's Post Office.
